Came here with my parents, who are notoriously picky eaters. We had to wait a little bit for a table to clear up, maybe 25-30 minutes. Our host made us feel welcome and his pacing was great! We started with the Za'atar fried almonds - these are fried which results in a warm and squishy almond which is not my thing, I like a crunchy almond. The flavor was good, herbaceous, 7/10 for me. We also had the hummus & pine nuts with pita bread and cucumbers. The pita was so warm and fluffy and the hummus was creamy and had the perfect amount of olive oil and Aleppo pepper flavor with a generous amount of parsley to brighten it up. 8/10. At this point we put in our main order of lamb chops, chicken kebab, lemon zest fries, and the braised greens. Everything comes out solo so we tore through the fries and greens way before we even got our proteins. If you care about eating the main and sides together maybe ask your server if they can help with timing. The food was just so fresh, cooked, and seasoned to perfection! The chicken kebab with mejadara rice was my standout. We ended the night with Turkish coffee and the apple date cake that was topped with cream cheese ice cream. It reminded me of sticky toffee cake and was so yummy. I will be back again to try out the rest of the menu!

We were nearby. We found Shalom Y'all on Yelp. I especially enjoyed the Hummus with Lamb served with Pita bread fresh out of the oven. Delicious food. Nice vibe Service was fast friendly and efficient.

This place is a busy as ever so my first recommendation is a reservation! The vegetarians in our group were very happy with all the options, and know that the menu does rotate so look on line to avoid disappointment. Let me start with recommendations for food: I loved the Turkish baked hummus. Its creamy, salty, crunchy, with crispy chickpeas on top. Its simplicity is also what makes it so satisfying. The roasted eggplant dip is similar to babaganooj, yet different. Smoky and good. Cauliflower hummus, also a lovely choice. Now for salads: MEC fennel salad - very good, also try the beet salad. If they have the haloumi with apples, get it. You won't be sorry. The plates run on the smaller side, so if you're hungry you'll want 1-3 per person and may need extra bread? (extra charge). And the drinks are fun, both alcoholic and virgin. And the staff? Helpful and friendly!

Food was delicious. The chicken kebab easily came off the spike. I'm not a fan of onions but the crispy onions on the bed of rice was great. It's taste was similar to crispy potatoe. They also have a great lemonade slushie, a fun non alcoholic drinks. We were serviced right away and the wait staff was so polite. Checking in regularly and apologizing becuase we finished our water and hadn't recieved more yet. The restaurant had an at home vibe. BUT because it's such a tall space with large windows it was cold inside. And the music was a little loud for casual conversations. But I would come back and a great spot for when friends and family visit.

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner at Shalom Y'all in Portland's warehouse district. Although we didn't realize we needed a reservation, the hostess was incredibly accommodating, adjusting the seating chart to fit us in that evening. The restaurant's upscale, industrial vibe added to the overall atmosphere, making it feel both trendy and cozy. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the pickled vegetables, farm green salad, Turkish baked hummus, falafel, charred cabbage skewer, and chicken shawarma. Every dish was flavorful and fresh, but the Turkish baked hummus was the star of the meal--whipped to a light, creamy perfection with a texture reminiscent of mashed potatoes. There was a small delay with one of our dishes, but the staff handled it professionally and ensured we were well taken care of. To top off the night, they even gave us a sea salt tahini chocolate chip cookie to go, which was hands-down the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had (and I've had plenty!).

Hands down the most creative Mediterranean food I ever had. This is my new favorite place and if you have not tried them already, prepared to be blown away. Upscale food, service and ambience for those cozy nights or a quick healthy run of a meal after a hike. I wasn't dressed to be here, as I visited them right after my hike. But the server was kind and helped us navigate the menu. His suggestions were on point to have the best first experience. I want to go back and I will to try everything I can.

Solid cocktails and vibes. Food is decent but there are better Mediterranean spots in Portland. FOOD We gotten classic assortment of dishes. The chicken shawarma was pretty decent. The chicken was cooked well but it was a bit bland. It also came with a pita! The lamb carnitas was extremely salty. I think it may have been seasoned to that level to cover the potential gamey-ness of the lamb. I honestly wished they put some of the seasonings in the lamb and put it on the chicken to balance it out. The star of the show is hands down the hummus. WOW it was mind blowing. This appetizer ticked all the boxes for us. The creaminess of the hummus and the crunchiness of the fried chick peas brought new textures that I have never experienced. Highly recommend this dish. SERVICE The food here is pretty okay. The service is what made this restaurant a 4 star restaurant. Our waiter was tentative and helpful. Overall the restaurant has a very chill and friendly vibe. ALL IN ALL, solid restaurant for Mediterranean food. I had better ones in Portland, but you can't really beat the vibe and friendliness of the staff. Side note: the restaurant charge additional 3% to provide employee benefits.

Just deliciousness. Their baba ghanoush and potato dip is so good. Their pita is magically light and fluffy. Lamb chops were also great and they cook it to your preferred cook level. The restaurant is a little loud and can get packed even on a Sunday afternoon. It's pretty popular and with good reason.

I got the Shalom Y'all Plate with falafel, hummus (subbed labneh for more hummus), chopped beets, and pita. The falafel was rich and flavorful - I wish I had ordered more. The beets were good but not necessarily a standout. The pita was super pillowy/fluffy... I think I could have gone crazy on just hummus and pita. I appreciated the simplicity and quality of the plate, although I don't think it was super filling... But I would order it again. A standout was the broccolini... please pour the sauce in my mouth; it was really good. Also had the mejadara which was good and a bit more filling than the other things I ordered, but it wasn't anything too crazy. Overall, I would recommend Shalom Yall because of its easy-to-enjoy mediterranean food, cozy atmosphere (location on Alder next to 1927), and prompt & attentive service. My only criticism is I wish they gave a little bit more food on some of the dishes, especially given the price.
